Working together with our mechanical engineering partners C R Solutions have designed, built, installed and commissioned the control system for a new 8 colour, 2.5m print width, 300m/minute CI (central impression) section for an existing Flexographic printing press.

This included a complete new Siemens S7-F Safety control system and 64 axis bespoke stepper control system developed by C R Solutions.

The combination of safety and standard control functions in an otherwise standard member of the Siemens PLC family is one of the factors that makes the new S7 315F PLC ideal for satisfying the complex safety and guarding protocol found on large flexographic printing press.

Removing the need for large amounts of hard wired safety circuits.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The use of Siemens dedicated profi network, enabled safety and conventional IO to be easily combined on the same backplane.
